On the eve of New Year’s holidays, quilling makes it possible to decorate the house with a lot of original handicrafts. Creative approach and a little time will allow to settle in the house the present magic mood. Created in the technique of quilling a Christmas tree will be an original and unique decoration.

Miniature Christmas tree, created by own hands, will become a memorable and pleasant surprise for colleagues and friends. It is not difficult to do it if you follow the description provided in the MC. You will need to work:

Green and brown quilling paper (3 and 7 mm wide);

  • curved;
  • adhesive (pistol and PVA);
  • tweezers;
  • scissors.
    Step-by-step master class. Rolls are rolled from brown strips. They should not be tight, as a basis for rolls you can use a regular marker. The ends of the strips are coated with glue and fixed.

It will take two such rolls, which will become the basis of the future tree. Using a quilling tool or a split toothpick, the green rolls are twisted.

They are blown out to a diameter of 16 mm (for accuracy use a templar). To make it easier to get the roll out of the template, insert a toothpick into the center of the spiral and move it to the edge of the hole. The edge of the spiral is fixed with glue.

Now the roll is given a drop-shaped shape, squeezing it with one hand with his fingers. To form the first tier of a Christmas tree, 10 drops are required. It is better to make one spare.

Then each drop is wrapped with a white stripe of paper and fixed with glue.

To the brown roll, the drops of the lower row of the Christmas tree are glued. While the glue will dry, you can tackle the following drops. For the second tier, 9 droplets, similar in size and method of manufacture to the previous ones, will be needed. The second brown roll is lubricated from below with glue and placed on the first layer, then droplets are glued to it.

The third row of fir-trees is formed from drops of smaller size (from spirals with a diameter of 14 mm). They will need 7 pieces. They are attached directly to the drops of the second row. The fourth and fifth rows are done similarly, only for the fourth one 6 drops (13 mm) are used, and for the fifth – only 5 (13 mm). The last, the sixth, row of the Christmas tree consists of 4 drops (13 mm). First two of them are glued – opposite each other. Then the remaining two spaces are closed.

The top of the Christmas tree in the technique of quilling can be made from a bead or from an inverted drop. You can decorate it at will – beads, paper balls or beads.

Greeting card with fir tree
Quilling offers a huge number of ideas and templates for creating greeting cards. Thanks to detailed descriptions, to make such a gift itself will be able to even beginners. What you need to create a Christmas tree:

  • tools – awls, sharp scissors, glue;
  • blank for the postcard;
  • sheet of cardboard;
  • stained (or any other) paints with mother of pearl;
  • several satin ribbons.
    The instruction on creation. Work on creating a postcard in the style of quilling begins with the preparation of the basic details of the Christmas tree. For this, rolls are rolled from the green paper with the help of an awl, which are then blown to a diameter of 15 mm and fixed with glue. Then these figures are turned into drops, squeezing one end with your fingers.

After that, the drop is bent a little to get a curved droplet. An example is in the photo. Now they gradually repeat all these steps to get 35 drops – about as many of them will be needed to create a postcard in the size of the A6 format.

Decoration for spruce is quite simple. Half of the paper tape is twisted into the tightest roll and the tip is fixed, then squeezed out the bottom, forming a cone. How many such ornaments will be needed depends on the creator’s desire, the size of the postcard and the tree itself.

To the New Year tree was fluffy, between the drops inserted a few curls. To make them it is possible under the following scheme: four green strips connect and twist on one side a little. On the other side, the ends of the strips are tightened, forming a curl, and fastened with a drop of glue:

The number of curls depends on your desire.

The last question remains: how to make all of these elements one tree? To do this, all the prepared parts are glued to the work piece in sequence. It is better to start with the upper branches. Periodically, you can add whorls between the droplets:

The shape of the tree is determined by your imagination and desire. All parts can be easily attached to paper using conventional PVA.

After the entire tree is collected, you can proceed to decorate it. At the top you can attach a bow from a satin ribbon or come up with your own version of the decoration.

Quite a bit of time and a magic card with your own hands is ready to please and create a festive mood!

Volumetric spruce branch in quilling technique
Crafts for the new year is a special category of quilling. The variety of ideas, sketches and levels of complexity is simply amazing. A fur-tree branch, made in the quilling technique, is a real New Year’s miracle! It looks so real that you start to smell it. This product will require some skills in the art of quilling and can be a challenge to beginners. But the result will not disappoint anyone!

What you need to work:

  • paper for quilling (1,5-2 mm), two shades of green, and also red;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • White paint;
  • wire (diameter 0.8 mm);
  • plain napkins;
  • tape.
    Stages of manufacture. Green paper is cut into a fringe, not reaching the edge of the strip about 3 mm. To make things go faster, you can cut two strips simultaneously:

To create the illusion of snow-covered needles, white paint is applied to the edges of the fringe, for example, gouache. You can do this with a simple cotton swab. It is important to do this from two sides!
The next step is to prepare a frame for the twig: the steel wire is coated with glue and wrapped with napkins cut into strips. After this, several turns of light green fringe are wound on the wire:

Then add a dark green to it. Light fringe should be inside, and dark – outside.

Now, at a slight angle, the fringe is wound around the entire wire, forming a spruce branch:

The fringe edge is fixed with glue. The longer the fringe strip, the longer the branch becomes.

Having made a few such branches, you can collect them into one big one.

A real Christmas tree must have decorations. To make them for this twig, the two strips are glued together into one and cut obliquely. From one edge its width will be about 1 cm, and from the opposite – 1 mm.

Starting from the wide side, the tape is rolled into a ball. Moving the center, you can get a toy in the shape of a pear.

To hang the ball on the tree, through it stretch a thread with a knot at the end. Nodule better glue with glue to give it strength.

Ready-made toys are hung on the Christmas tree.

The branch can be decorated with rain, tinsel or serpentine, as in the picture:

Such spruce branches in the quilling technique will be an excellent decor for the postcard, decorate the room or turn into a wreath at the door. You can also look at the process of creating it in a special video.
