How to Make a Peacock Wall Pot
Combine a love for gardening with a passion for art by creating a majestic peacock wall pot! This project is a showstopper. I made one for my balcony wall, and it’s always the first thing guests notice.
You’ll need: A terracotta pot (for the body), strong wire, colored beads, feathers, acrylic paints, and a hot glue gun.
Let’s get building:
The Body: Paint the terracotta pot with rich peacock blue and green acrylics. Add a distinctive “eye” feather detail on the front. Let it dry.
The Tail & Head: Bend strong wire into a magnificent fan shape for the tail and a graceful “S” shape for the neck and head.
The Adornment: This is the fun part! String blue and green beads onto thinner wire and wrap these strands around the tail wire frame to create the iconic, iridescent tail feathers. Glue real or synthetic feathers around the edge for volume.
Assemble: Secure the neck wire to the pot (the body) and the tail wire behind it using a strong glue gun or wire. Glue a bead or a small painted wood piece for the head.
Hang it on a wall, plant succulents in the pot, and watch your beautiful peacock come to life
