How to make a Bathroom Bathmat, doormat and rug using fabric.

Tired of boring, store-bought bathmats? Make your own from absorbent fabric for a fraction of the cost! You can customize the color and pattern to perfectly match your bathroom decor. I made a set from old terry cloth towels, and they’re incredibly soft and eco-friendly.

Weave Your Own Rug (The Easiest Method!):

Cut Strips: Cut an old towel or several layers of cotton fabric into long, 2-inch wide strips.

The Base: Use a piece of plastic canvas or a non-slip rug pad as your base. This provides stability and prevents slipping.

Loop It: Using a large-eye needle, pull your fabric strips through the holes in the canvas, tying simple knots on the back. Use a tight, loop pile technique for a plush, absorbent surface.

Trim: Once the entire canvas is covered, flip it over and trim any long loops on the top to create an even pile.

You’ll have a super-absorbent, non-slip, and personalized bathmat that you made yourself!
