How to Make Hanging Flowers (Fabric/Paper)
Hanging floral garlands are my go-to for instant party atmosphere. They’re surprisingly simple!
For Paper: The easiest method is the Danish Heart technique. Fold a square of paper in half, cut a simple heart shape where the fold is the center, and then make intricate cut patterns along the edges. When you unfold it, you have a beautiful, lace-like flower. String a bunch together on a ribbon.
For Fabric: Fabric origami is the way to go.
Cut circles out of stiffened fabric or felt.
Fold a circle in half, then in half again, and then a third time to create a cone-shaped segment.
Hot glue the bottom point to secure the fold.
Make 5-8 of these segments and glue them together in a circle, points inward. You’ll have a gorgeous 3D bloom.
Simply thread a needle through the top points of each flower to create a stunning hanging garland.
They’re lightweight, beautiful, and last forever
