Easy Tutorial of Kitchen Ladle from a Cloth Hanger
This might be the quickest and most genius kitchen hack I’ve ever tried! If your wire clothes hanger has a twisted paper or plastic coating, it’s perfect for creating a sanitary and heat-resistant kitchen tool.
You’ll need: 1 wire coat hanger, needle-nose pliers, and a pair of strong scissors or wire cutters.
Let’s bend it into shape:
Untwist the Hook: Use your pliers to untwist the hook of the hanger and straighten it out.
Shape the Bowl: Mold the bottom triangular part of the hanger into a shallow, roundish spoon shape. This will be your ladle’s bowl.
Form the Handle: The long, straight part you created from the hook becomes your handle. You can leave it straight or bend it into a comfortable hook shape to hang on a pot.
Smooth the End: Make sure the end of the handle isn’t sharp. You can curl it into a small loop or cover it with a bit of tape.
And voilà! You have a custom-sized ladle for free. It’s great for stirring large pots of soup or sauce. Just avoid using it on non-stick surfaces to prevent scratching.
