How to Make a Foam Sheet Basket:
These aren’t your kid’s craft project anymore! Foam sheet baskets are surprisingly durable and perfect for organizing drawers or holding lightweight toiletries. They’re also completely waterproof and easy to wipe clean.
Here’s the simple method I use:
Cut a rectangle of foam for the base (e.g., 6″x8″).
Cut long strips for the sides (2.5″ wide and the length of your base’s perimeter).
The pro tip: Use a hole punch to make evenly spaced holes along the long edges of your base and side strips.
“Sew” the sides to the base using yarn or a thin strip of foam, lacing through the holes. Then, stitch the short ends of the side strip together to form the box shape!
Add a handle by punching holes and attaching a sturdy foam strip. It’s so simple and so satisfying.
