How to Make Quilling Paper 3D “Lord Ganesha” (Tutorial)
Creating a 3D Lord Ganesha with quilling paper is a wonderfully meditative craft. I find it’s not just about the final piece, but the intention you coil into every strip.
Tools are required for making Quilling Paper Lord Ganesha
1. Quilling Paper
2. Slotted tool
3. Stone
4. Scissor
5. Fevicol
-
The Outline is Key: First, sketch a simple outline of Ganesha on your base. This is your guide.
-
Coil the Body: Make loose circles, teardrops, and marquise shapes for the body. Start gluing them next to each other, not on top, to build a flat-but-layered base layer.
-
Build Dimension: This is the 3D secret! For areas like the trunk, stomach, and headdress, glue your shapes on top of the base layer. Stack two or three coils high using generous glue for a sculptural effect.
-
Final Touches: Use gold paper for the crown, jewelry, and modak. A tiny red bindi and eyes bring it to life. Frame it deep enough to protect your beautiful, dimensional work.
