How to Make a Shuttlecock Doll – Recycled Crafts
Got old badminton shuttlecocks gathering dust? Don’t toss them! They are the perfect base for the most adorable, quirky recycled dolls. I made a family of these for my niece, and she loved their whimsical, artistic vibe. It’s a fantastic 10-minute craft.
You’ll need: 1 shuttlecock, felt scraps, googly eyes, yarn for hair, a pom-pom, and a hot glue gun.
Let’s create a character:
The Body: The shuttlecock itself is the doll’s skirt and body. The rounded cork base is the head.
The Face: Glue on googly eyes. Cut a tiny smile or rosy cheeks from felt and glue them on. For a nose, a small felt triangle or the pom-pom works perfectly.
Add Personality: Glue yarn on top for hair. Get creative—braid it, make pigtails, or leave it long and wild! You can add felt arms glued to the sides or even a tiny felt purse.
They stand perfectly on their own and make delightful desk ornaments or gifts. Every one will have its own personality!
