Make a Stylish Kurti from Leftover Fabric
That beautiful leftover fabric from another project is begging for a second life. Turning it into a kurti is a fantastic sustainable fashion choice. I often use block-printed scraps to create a unique paneled look.

The Trendy, No-Pattern Approach:
The “Khopdi” or yoke-style kurti is huge right now and is perfect for leftovers. You use a contrasting fabric for the top bodice section (the yoke) and your main fabric for the flowy bottom.

Create the Yoke: Draft a simple, comfortable bodice shape that fits your shoulders and chest.

Attach the Skirt: Gather a wide rectangle of your main fabric and attach it to the bottom of the yoke. The fuller the rectangle, the more flowy the kurti.

Finish: Add sleeves from either fabric and hem the bottom. You’ve just created a trendy, professional-looking outfit with zero waste!
