Beautiful and Creative Sleeves Design, Cutting, and Stitching
The sleeves are the new focal point of any top or dress! In my experience, you don’t need to be a master pattern drafter to create stunning sleeves. The easiest way to make a statement is with a Wide Bell Sleeve with a Contrast Lining.

Here’s the simple secret:

Cut the Sleeve: Use your basic sleeve pattern. At the hem, add significant width—think 10-12 extra inches—to create a dramatic flare. The longer the sleeve, the more dramatic the effect.

The Lining Trick: Cut an identical sleeve from a contrasting, lightweight fabric. This will be your lining and will peek out when the sleeve folds back.

Stitch Together: Place the main sleeve and lining sleeve right sides together. Stitch around the hemline. Then, turn them right side out and press. You now have a sleeve with a built-in, colorful cuff.

Attach as Normal: Gather the sleeve cap and attach the entire sleeve to the armhole of your garment as you normally would.

When you wear it, you can push or roll the sleeve up slightly to show off the pop of contrast color. It’s a designer detail that’s incredibly easy to achieve and looks expensive and intentional.

Beautiful and Creative Sleeves Design Cutting and Stitching. Sleeve designs are very attractive. Making them is somewhat of a science all alone, and it’s difficult to envision what shape you have to begin with in the event that you have no related knowledge with designing them yourself; experimentation is generally unavoidable, and in the event that you don’t have room schedule-wise to focus on it, it’ll presumably never complete. That is the reason we’re realizing this All Sleeves post to you!
