My Favorite Easy Design: The Keyhole Neck
Cutting: Draft your basic front and back kurti pieces. On the front piece, mark the center of the neckline. From there, draw a small, rounded or diamond-shaped “keyhole” about 2-3 inches down.
Facing is Key: Cut a separate strip of fabric to act as a facing for the keyhole. This will neatly finish the raw edge from the inside.
Stitching: Pin the facing to the right side of the keyhole opening. Stitch along the drawn line. Then, carefully clip the curves, turn the facing to the inside, and press. Topstitch if desired.
Fasten: Add a button or a tie above the keyhole for an adjustable and elegant closure.
This detail adds a touch of effortless elegance and is much easier than it looks!
