Flower Vase Made with a Recycled Plastic Bottle
Don’t you dare throw that soda bottle away! In under 15 minutes, you can create a bohemian-chic vase.
Cut & Clean: Take a clean plastic bottle and use scissors to cut off the top third. You can make a tall vase from a 2-liter bottle or a short, cute one from a water bottle.
The Fun Part – Texture!:
Twine Wrap: Cover the bottle entirely with hot glue and tightly wrap jute twine around it for a rustic look.
Decoupage: Tear pieces of colorful tissue paper or pages from an old book and decoupage them on using a mix of white glue and water. Add 3-4 layers for durability.
Acrylic Paint: For a solid, modern look, simply paint the outside with acrylic paint. Use a sponge for texture or add gold leaf details for a touch of glam.
Seal It: Always seal your finished vase with a coat of clear varnish or Mod Podge to protect it from water spills.
