20+ Cute & Easy Kids Hairstyles with Rubber band
Mornings with kids can be chaos, right? I’ve been there! As a mom, my number one secret weapon is a pack of colorful rubber bands. They’re the fastest way to create adorable hairstyles that actually stay put through recess and nap time.
The key is to keep it simple, quick, and fun. Here are over 20 ideas:
Basic Pigtails & Ponytails: A classic for a reason. Use colored bands for instant fun.
Space Buns: Two high buns are a total hit with the kindergarten crowd.
The Triple Ponytail: Section hair horizontally into three sections and make three ponytails.
Half-Up Crown: Take two small sections from above each ear, twist them back, and secure them together in the center.
Braided Pigtails: A simple 3-strand braid on each side.
The “Loop-De-Loop”: Create a ponytail, but don’t pull the hair all the way through the last loop of the band.
Mini Buns: A whole head of tiny little buns is as cute as it gets.
Side-Swept Style: All hair to one side, secured with a fun, giant rubber band.
The Heart Part: Use a comb to create a part in the shape of a heart before making pigtails.
Princess Leia Buns: Two low buns near the nape of the neck.
Twisted Half-Up: Twist two front sections back and secure with a band.
Four-Section Ponytail: Divide hair into four squares for a cool geometric look.
The “Rapunzel” Ponytail: Add multiple bands down the length of a ponytail.
Accessorize! After making any simple style, add ribbons woven through the bands or cute clips.
The goal is to get out the door without tears (from you or them!). These styles take 5 minutes max and use only one tool.
