Latest Kurta Neck Cutting And Stitching (Simple Method)
The neckline is the frame for your face, and this season, it’s all about clean lines and interesting angles. The good news? You don’t need a complicated pattern to look current. My favorite easy update is the ** Wide Square Neck**.

Here’s the simple method:

The Cut: After drafting your basic front and back kurta pieces, put them together at the shoulders. Now, instead of drawing a curve, use a ruler to draw a wide, horizontal square shape from shoulder to shoulder. The depth is up to you!

The Facing is Key: For a professional finish, you must use a facing. Cut identical square neck shapes from leftover fabric. Place them right-sides together with the kurta neckline and stitch all around.

The Magic Step – Understitching: This prevents the facing from peeking out. Press the seam allowance toward the facing. Then, stitch on the facing, 1/8 inch from the seam, through the facing and seam allowance only.

Finish: Turn the facing to the inside, press well, and hand-stitch it down to the shoulder seams. That’s it! You have a sharp, modern neckline that looks fantastic on its own or with a statement necklace.
