This is a fantastic, eco-friendly craft project I love doing with kids! It’s a brilliant way to upcycle those single-use plastic straws into something creative.
DIY Doll Dress Using a Plastic Straw
You’ll need: A plastic straw, scissors, and a tiny doll.
The Bodice: Flatten about one-third of the straw and carefully cut a small slit in the center for the doll’s head. Slide it on.
Create the Skirt: For the remaining, unflattened section, make very fine, vertical cuts from the bottom up, stopping about halfway. This creates the “fringe” for the skirt.
Add Volume: Gently curl these cut strands outward around a pencil or your finger to create a curled, voluminous skirt effect.
Accessorize: Tie a tiny thread around the waist to define it. You can even add a minuscule bead for a belt!
It’s a five-minute project that teaches sustainability and sparks incredible imagination.
