How to Make a Small Flower Pop-Up Card
In a world of digital messages, a handmade pop-up card is a guaranteed smile-maker. I’ve made these for birthdays, and the recipient’s face always lights up—it’s a tiny piece of art they can keep forever.

The magic is in the simple mechanism. You’ll need: Cardstock, scissors, glue, and markers.

Let’s build it:

The Base: Fold your cardstock in half. This is your card.

The Pop-Up Strip: Cut a small rectangular strip of paper. Fold both ends of this strip backwards to create a small “Z” shape.

The Attachment: Glue one end of the “Z” strip inside your card and the other end to the back of your paper flower. Important: Make sure the card can close flat.

Decorate: Now, let your creativity flow! Draw a stem and leaves on the card base that line up with your pop-up flower. Add more drawn flowers, a cute bee, or a sweet message.

When you open the card, the “Z” fold will expand, making your flower pop right up. It’s a delightful surprise that’s much easier to make than it looks.
