Hey Guys !! I have made this very beautiful yoke design on my Kurti using 3D Cone Outliner.. This design gives a running stitch effect..
Want to add incredible texture to your kurti? Using 3D cone outliners (often used in traditional Maggam work) with a simple running stitch creates a raised, luxurious effect that looks incredibly complex but is quite manageable.
How to Get the Textured Look:
Thread Your Needle: Use a strong, thick thread like Maggam thread or even crochet thread. You need something that can pull the thick outlining cord.
Couching Stitch: This is the technique. Don’t pierce the cord! Lay the 3D cone outliner on your fabric in your desired pattern on the yoke. Use a simple running stitch to sew over the cord, securing it to the fabric beneath at regular intervals.
Create Patterns: You can create beautiful swirling vines, geometric shapes, or floral patterns by guiding the cord with your stitches.
The result is a stunning, raised embroidery that adds a rich, artisanal quality to your yoke. It’s a fantastic way to experiment with texture.
