Creative Peacock Using Plastic Spoons
This is one of the most stunning “waste to wonder” projects I’ve ever done. You’ll need: plastic spoons, acrylic paints (royal blue, green, gold), a hot glue gun, and a cardboard base.

First, cut the handles off all your spoons. These become your feathers. Paint the concave sides in brilliant peacock colors—don’t forget the iconic eye pattern! Once dry, start gluing them in overlapping rows onto your cardboard base, beginning from the outer edge and working inwards. Layer them tightly! The curved shape of the spoons naturally creates the magnificent, fan-like tail. For the body, use a whole spoon or model one from paper clay. It’s a fantastic wall art piece that always sparks conversation about sustainability and creativity.
