How to Make a Peacock Design Vase
This is a fantastic way to upcycle a plain vase using the art of decoupage. You’ll need a glass vase, mod podge, a brush, and printed tissue paper or napkin with a peacock feather design.
Prep: Clean your vase thoroughly. Separate the printed layer of your napkin—you only need the thin top ply with the design.
Apply: Brush a thin layer of mod podge onto a small section of the vase. Carefully place a piece of your napkin design onto the glue and gently smooth it out from the center to avoid wrinkles.
Seal: Once the entire vase is covered and dry, seal it with 2-3 more coats of mod podge, letting each coat dry completely. The trick is to use thin, even layers to avoid cloudiness. The result is a beautiful, bespoke vase that looks hand-painted!
