Beautiful Dotted Flowers from One Stroke Painting
Honestly, one-stroke painting is my favorite way to add a professional-looking flourish to anything, from cards to home decor. It looks complex, but the secret is it’s all in the wrist action! You load a flat brush with two colors—say, white and pink—and with a single, confident press-and-pull motion, you create a petal that has a beautiful gradient. Dotting tools then become your best friend for the center.

I remember trying this on a plain terracotta pot; a few dotted marigolds later, and it looked like a boutique find. The key is don’t overthink it. Practice on paper first, get that fluid motion down, and soon you’ll be dotting gorgeous florals everywhere. It’s mindful, meditative, and the results are so satisfying.
