Liquid Embroidery with Beads on Kurti
Move over, traditional thread! Liquid embroidery—using dimensional fabric paints—is having a major moment. Paired with beads, it creates incredible texture and shine that’s perfect for elevating a simple kurti. In my experience, this technique is far more forgiving than thread embroidery for beginners.
How to start: Sketch a simple design (like a paisley or floral sprout) near the hem or neckline. Outline it with your fabric paint tube, and while it’s still wet, immediately press beads or sequins into the paint. That’s it! The paint acts as both outline and adhesive. Let it cure for 24 hours, and it’s machine-washable. The trend now is all about abstract patterns and minimalist motifs rather than heavy, all-over designs.
