Latest Neck and Sleeves Design in a Very Easy Way
Tired of the same old kurtas? The biggest trend right now is all about easy details, not complex pattern-making. You can update your outfits with just a few snips and stitches! In my experience, the simplest change with the biggest impact is adding a contrast fabric band.
Here’s the easiest update ever:
The Neckline: For a basic round neck, cut a strip of contrast fabric (think a bold print or a solid pop of color) about 2-3 inches wide. Fold it in half lengthwise, and simply attach it to the neckline as a facing. Instead of turning it inward, press it outward to create a clean, flat band that frames your face. It looks intentional and designer-level in minutes.
The Sleeves: Use the same contrast fabric on your sleeves. Cut the sleeves shorter to your desired length (elbow or 3/4 length is super trendy). Then, attach a wide band of the contrast fabric to the hem. You can even add a second, thinner band above it for a sporty, racing stripe effect.
It’s a foolproof way to look like you spent a fortune, when you really just used some fabric scraps!
