Latest Stylish Neck Design Cutting and Stitching at Home
Upgrading a neckline is the easiest way to transform an old kurta. The latest trend I’m loving is the wide, faced V-neck. It’s chic, modest, and surprisingly simple to do at home.
Cut: Lay your kurta flat. Using a ruler and fabric marker, carefully draw a deep V from the center shoulder point down to the center of your chest.
Facing is Key: Don’t just fold the fabric over! Cut a matching piece of fabric in the same V-shape. This is your “facing.”
Stitch: Place the right sides of the facing and the kurta neckline together. Stitch along the V.
Press: Turn the facing to the inside and press it flat. Topstitch around the edge from the right side to keep it lying perfectly flat. This professional finish makes all the difference.
