How To Make Wind Chime With Popsicle Stick & CD. DIY Popsicle Stick Crafts & CD Wall Hanging; In this video tutorial you will be able to learn how to make a decorative wall hanging wind chime using Popsicle stick and old CD easily at home….
ot an old CD and some craft sticks? Then you’ve got the perfect rainy-day project! This is one of my favorite “best out of waste” crafts to do with kids. The CD reflects sunlight, creating rainbows, while the popsicle sticks create a gentle clacking sound in the breeze—it’s utterly charming.
Here’s the simple, step-by-step process:
Create the Base: Glue popsicle sticks together in a star or square pattern to form a base. Let it dry completely.
Prepare the CD: This is the fun part! Paint the shiny side of the CD with acrylic paints. You can create a mandala, swirls, or just a solid color to cover the rainbow. Pro Tip: Lightly sand the CD first to help the paint stick.
Assemble: Poke small holes around the edge of the CD and the corners of your popsicle stick base. Using fishing line or sturdy string, hang the CD from the base, leaving a few inches of space.
Add the Clackers: Cut popsicle sticks into smaller pieces. Tie these to longer strings and attach them to the base so they dangle and will gently hit the CD in the wind.
Finish: Tie three strings to the top of the base, gather them together, and attach a loop for hanging.
Find a sunny spot by a window and enjoy your handmade, melodic art!
