Quilling Tricycle With Basket
Quilling is all about patience, but the 3D results are so rewarding. A tricycle with a basket is a challenging yet delightful project that’s bursting with vintage charm. In my experience, breaking it down into parts is key.
Start with the wheels: These are simple tight coils. For the frame, you’ll shape marquise and teardrop shapes, gluing them together to form the iconic trike silhouette. Now, for the basket—this is my favorite part! Create a small, shallow cup shape using a dome-making mold or something as simple as the end of a paintbrush.
Recent trends show a love for adding tiny paper flowers or even a miniature quilled teddy bear into the basket for a storytelling element. It’s a intricate piece that becomes a beautiful standalone decor item or a unique gift for a cycling enthusiast.
