Glass bottle decoration using yarn and flower

Tired of boring vases? I am too. That’s why turning a simple glass bottle into a textural masterpiece with yarn is one of my favorite quick crafts. It’s incredibly forgiving—perfect for beginners!

The Simple Steps:

Grab Your Supplies: A clean, label-free bottle, your favorite yarn (chunky or thin both work!), a hot glue gun, and a few faux flowers or dried blooms.

Start Wrapping: Put a small dab of glue on the bottom of the bottle to secure the yarn’s end. Start wrapping tightly, keeping the rows close together. Add tiny dabs of glue every few rounds to keep everything secure, especially if you’re using a slick glass surface.

Change Colors (Optional): Want stripes? Simply snip one color, glue the end, and start the next color with a new dab of glue. No one will see the seams!

The Final Flourish: Once the bottle is covered up to the neck, glue your selected flowers artfully to one side. I remember using lavender sprigs for a client’s bathroom; it looked and smelled amazing!

This project is a fantastic way to add a cozy, boho-chic touch to any room. The best part? No two are ever alike.
