How to Make a Sequins Embroidery Flower
Sequins bring instant glamour and shine. For a floral design, the magic is in the layering.

The Foundation: Start with a simple embroidered flower shape using satin stitch or long-and-short stitch in a matching color. This provides a base so no fabric shows through.

Attaching Sequins: There are two main methods:

Stacked (Fish Scale): This creates a dense, scaly effect. Secure each sequin with a small seed bead stitched through its center, overlapping the previous row just like shingles on a roof.

Flat & Spiral: For a more open look, stitch sequins flat onto the fabric base without overlapping, working in a spiral pattern from the outside in. Use a contrasting thread color through the center for a cool detail.

Pro Tip: Mix sequin sizes and colors! Use larger sequins on the outer petals and smaller ones towards the center for a sense of depth.
