Tiny art is incredibly captivating! Using empty matchboxes, you can create a stunning set of miniature shadow box artworks for your wall. I remember creating a series of these with tiny beach scenes for a client’s bathroom; they were a huge hit!
Create Your Miniature Gallery:
Gather Boxes: Collect 5-9 empty matchboxes. Glue them together in a grid formation on a piece of cardboard.
Create the Scenes: This is the fun part! Open each drawer slightly. Inside, create a tiny scene using whatever you have: a scrap of fabric for a curtain, a tiny dried flower, a bead, a snippet of a magazine picture, or a single word.
Frame It: Paint the entire structure, including the outside frame of boxes, a uniform color. Matte black or white works really well to make the mini scenes inside pop.
Hang It: Glue a sawtooth hanger to the back and display your unique, conversation-starting art piece.
It’s an ultra-creative project that proves you don’t need a big budget to make unique decor.
Making a best out of waste craft has become a trend these days. Using small, cheap and easily available raw materials in our houses and recycling them is what everyone wants to do. There are many raw things spread everywhere in the house that can be used to make recycled crafts. Match boxes are there in every house. This is the most basic commodity that everybody uses in their daily lives. It is very cheap and easily available to all as well. So why not make some craft using matchboxes?
