New Year Card of Fireplace Design

The closer the New Year holidays, the more souvenirs and postcards are offered on trays and in stores. Whatever the postcard, it’s perfect, but no one will ever make a postcard that you can do yourself. I really like music cards, but I just can not make such a “congratulations”. At the most, my imagination is able to do it – postcards – firecrackers, which, after opening, loudly buzz or squeak, but do not explode. Today I’m offering you a Christmas card-a fireplace I made for my friend. In their house for a long time there is no good warm fireplace, so even though the “open” fireplace warms their house on New Year’s Eve.

All the details of the fireplace I will make of cardboard for children’s creativity, and decorations – from foyamana of different colors.

To make the fireplace look the most like a real one, you must first draw a future fireplace. Then I made patterns on the basis of the pattern for all the details of the fireplace

On each pattern we make the necessary cuts, add the lower and upper shelves, two columns and a pyramid – the top of the fireplace. Bonding parts is better than hot melt – it’s strong and fast. The pyramid will be vertical from the back side and inclined from the front

External (visible) parts of the fireplace parts must be pasted with white paper. In this case, I used PVA glue, it splendidly glues paper and cardboard. But you need to glue only those parts of the parts that will be visible after the fireplace assembly

Now all the necessary sides of details are pasted, you can start to decorate them

With a scissors cut from the foyamiran flesh-colored thin strip for decorating the upper and lower shelves (the width of the strip is not more than 0.6 cm). We paste the strips on the white (outer) side of the shelves

For the columns we cut figured columns – one side of the “column” is cut, holding the scissors with one side, the other side – turning the scissors by the back side. “Columns” are glued to the posts

For the upper and lower shelves we need “crossbeams” – strips of thick foyamiran of white and flesh colors. For the bottom shelf, I made a glueing of the white, solid and second white stripes (length 15 cm, width 4.5 cm). For the top shelf “crossbar” will also be glued from the flesh, white and one other strip of flesh color (the length of the bands 13 cm, width 3.5 cm). For both rails I use foiramane with a thickness of 2 mm

For the outside of the pyramid, we cut out a trapezium from foyamiran fleshcolored (the lower base is 11 cm, the top base is 6.5 cm, the sides are equal to each other, their length is 3.5 cm). Immediately glue the trapezoid to the front of the pyramid

Small squares of white and brown foyamiran turn into rolls and glue – it will be birch and oak logs for the fireplace

On white rolls, draw a black felt-tip pen across the stripes. On brown rolls, you can draw ringlets or points – logs for a fireplace ready

Cut out a rounded rectangle of bright yellow cardboard. From the scarlet and pink foyamir we cut out the “petals of the flame” for the fireplace. Draw a strip at a height of 3 cm from the bottom edge of the rectangle, apply hot melt on the strip and glue the bottom of the “flame”

We apply a “flame” to the bottom shelf with a crossbar and to the posts – the “flame” should be located exactly between the posts, its upper edge should be slightly lower in height than the bars

We glue the crossbar to the bottom shelf, then glue to the back of the shelf a “flame”, on which sides we glue the bars. The back of the whole structure should be vertically level so that you can make a postcard. Columns should stand straight, we glue the top shelf on them, and on it the upper crossbar

We try the finished pyramid, mark the place on the upper crossbar, where it is necessary to glue the pyramid, and immediately glue the pyramid on the hotmelt, keeping the vertical structure

From the soft-green fomiran we make fir-tree “paws”: we cut the strip into 10 cm with figured scissors “Wave”. We make cuts from the figured side, then the cut part is applied near the warm surface of the iron – the strips are bent inside. Cut off half of the cotton swab. On the cotton ball attach the bead, just below we begin to glue the strip with the cut edges out – it will be a small Christmas tree

Cut off a piece of wire, make it half-oval – measure the length of the wire along the width of the “hearth” of the fireplace between the posts. Cut off a thin strip of white foamiran, glue it on the wire – this will be the fence of the fireplace. Break off half of the toothpick, on the edge glue the round ball of frozen hot-melt. The sharp tip of the toothpick is stuck into the lower crossbar, and the ball is glued to the wire, it will keep the “fence” from falling

We put the finished fireplace on a folded sheet of cardboard, circle outlines (shown in the photo with a white marker), and cut out. Then to the back of the fireplace we glue the front part of the cut out “postcard”

We begin to decorate our fireplace: we glue the “fence”, cut out the monkey from the red fonamir and glue it to the right of the fireplace, next to it we paste the “Christmas tree”. Cut out the yellow foyamiran figures “2016” and glue them on the pyramid of the fireplace

Cut out the green foyamiran half a herringbone and glue it to the left of the fireplace. In the same place, we paste a candle made of a pale yellow fameiran. Right next to the Christmas tree, glue a “snowball” made of white yarn
