If you’re new to stitching, the easiest way to a beautiful neckline is with bias tape. It’s forgiving, easy to use, and comes in a variety of colors.
Your Foolproof Method:
Cut Your Neckline: Cut your neckline a little deeper than your final desired shape, as the binding will take up some space.
Pin the Binding: Unfold one edge of store-bought double-fold bias tape. Pin the right side of the unfolded edge to the wrong side of your kurta neckline.
Stitch & Flip: Stitch along the crease. Then, flip the bias tape over to the right side of the fabric, encasing the raw edge. Press and topstitch it down.
It creates a clean, colorful finish with minimal effort—my top tip for beginners!
