How To Make Beaded Saree Edging Tassels.
Want to add movement, sound, and a luxurious finish to your saree pallu? Beaded tassels are the perfect solution! I love this detail because it’s surprisingly simple but makes a garment look incredibly expensive. I added tiny gold-beaded tassels to a client’s magenta saree, and the effect was absolutely stunning.
Let’s Get Stringing:
Thread Your Needle: Use a strong, beading needle and nylon thread. String on a combination of seed beads, small crystals, and perhaps a few larger accent beads.
Create the Tassel: Once your strand is about 6-8 inches long, pass the needle back up through several beads to secure them. Leave a loop at the top.
Attach to Saree: Use the loop at the top to securely stitch the tassel to the corner of your saree pallu. Space several tassels about an inch apart for a gorgeous, flowing fringe.
This is a fantastic way to use up leftover beads from other projects and add a personal, artisanal touch to your outfit.
