New year on the nose, and gifts and holiday decorations have not been bought yet? Of course, garlands with light bulbs and bright glass toys will have to be purchased, but it’s quite possible to make simple decorations in the form of a small snowman made of cotton wool.
Such a cute snowman can be put under a small Christmas tree, suspended in the form of a toy or presented to a close person as a sign of location.
Materials for crafts :
1. cotton wool;
2. liquid soap;
3. glue of PVA;
4. sequins;
5. black paper;
6. matches;
7. 1-2 small twigs;
8. a small piece of bark made of wood;
9. orange paint;
10. pencils of black and red color;
11. yellow pencil and ruler;
12. Scissors;
13. 2 coins of a larger and smaller diameter;
14. knife.
Process of performance of work
Step 1: Form the balls
We tear off a piece for a snowman’s bottom ball from a roll with cotton wool. We put on the palm of a liquid soap and in a circular motion we form a ball from a cotton wool. We put the ball for drying.
Next, we take another piece of cotton wool of medium size and again put on hands liquid soap. We form from a piece a ball for the middle part of the snowman.
We tear off a small piece of cotton wool from the roll, put a liquid soap on our hands and roll the snowman’s head in the palms of our hands.
We put aside the formed balls for a while for drying, and at this time we will deal with other parts of the snowman’s body.
Step 2: The basis for the trunk, nose and hands
From a small twig we cut out a thin stick. On it we will later fix the balls. In principle, to simplify the process, you can also use toothpicks.
Break off the match half and sharpen it with a knife on both sides. We tear off a small piece of cotton wool, dunk it in PVA and wrap it around one side of the sharpened match halves.
We paint the cotton wool with orange paint and put aside the nozzle for drying.
We break off two small pieces from the twig. This will be the handle of the snowman. We sharpen them on the one hand, so that it would be more convenient to insert a snowman into the padded body.
Step 3: make a hat
We take two coins, one of which is smaller in diameter, and the other is larger. Pencil outline coins. The smaller circle will be for the top of the hat, and the larger one for its fields.
Pencil draw a long strip for the cylinder. Cut out the strip, leaving small allowances for gluing. We bend the strip along the drawn lines.
We glue the strip into the cylinder, aligning its diameter with a smaller circle. The upper and lower allowances are cut to the traced lines and bend: the upper inwards, and the lower ones outward.
From the larger circle we cut out the middle and insert it into the cylinder. Glue. We glue the smaller circle on top of the cylinder. The hat is ready!
Step 4: tape and stand
From a thin red tape, cut a piece about 10 cm long. On the candle, carefully seal the ends of the tape.
Next, take a small piece of bark and paint it on all sides with brown paint. The edges of the bark stain black paint.
Step 5: forming a snowman
We dissolve in the bowl glue PVA with water in a proportion of 1: 1 and add a little sparkles. Stirring.
Dip into the mixture the largest ball and put it on the stand. We insert on top of the ball a pre-prepared stick for attachment.
We fix on a large circle medium, and then – small balls.
We put in the middle ball on both sides sticks in the form of handles. In the head insert an orange spout-carrot.
Black pencil draws eyes. With a red pencil draw a mouth in a smile. We tie a red scarf on a neat scarf. We put a little glue on the bottom of the hat and put it on the snowman’s head.
We leave the craft on time for drying. Done!
