Necessary materials for crafts :

1. two identical sheets;
2. Roulette;
3. 4 or 8 cuts of cotton fabric beige, soft pink, rich pink and burgundy color * (you can pick up any other colors, it is important only that they were made in the same color scheme with the transition from light to dark tones);
4. The sewing machine;
5. Scissors;
6. Universal sewing thread;
7. pins;
8. wide braid for edging the top of the colored flaps;
9. Self-adhesive Velcro tape;
10. ironing board;
11. an iron;
12. rings with clips for curtains in the amount of 12-14 pcs.

Step 1.

Measure the height of the window and transfer the measurements to the sheets, adding about a centimeter for the stitching. Mark the measurements with a pencil and cut the desired flaps with sharp scissors. Cotton bed linens can be torn in a straight line, just by making the initial segment and then tearing off the fabric.

Repeat the manipulation of the other sheet. These cuts will be used as the basis for the curtains. The hemmed edge of the sheet is used for the bottom edge of the base, cut off – for its top.

Step 2.

We measure the length and width of future ruches. To do this, measure the width of the bed-sheet and multiply it by 2-3 times (depending on how splendid the ruffles you want). This is the length of the fabric cuts for the ruches. For the width, measure the length of future curtains and divide it by 8 (8 ruches for each of the curtains), plus add to each ruffle gaps of 2 centimeters to sew up their top and hem. In total, 8×2 flaps are needed for the crafts (2 flaps in four shades for each of the curtains).

Step 3.

Iron the fabric flaps with an iron.

Then, with your finger, tuck a small corner of the tissue on the corner of the flap (as shown in the photo), and then from the perpendicular side, tilt the entire edge and secure it.

After fixing, iron all edges with an iron.

Thus, in such a sequence, tuck and fix all the edges (except the top) on all the tissue grafts.

Step 4.

Take the lightest cloth flap. Pinch the fabric in the folds on its upper untreated side and pinch the formed fold with a pin.

Evenly form on the tissue the same folds along the entire length of the flap. Measure the width of the formed tissue segment with the width of the bed-sheet – you need to have the same length.

Using a sewing machine, sew all the folds, along the way, removing the pins from the flaps.

Step 5.

Take a wide white braid, soak it and fold it four times. Iron the tape along the entire length.
Secure with pins double folded braid with the front and on the underside on the upper untreated edge of the flap.

Repeat the above manipulations with all the other colored patches.

Step 6.

Attach a flap of the lightest shade with pin-fastened double folded braid to the upper untreated part of the bed-sheet. Pin the colored cut to the base and use a sewing machine to sew it.

Gradually sinking down, sew all the flaps with ruffles to the base sheet, starting from light shades and ending with dark ones.

Repeat the previous manipulations with another bed sheet.

Attach the rings to the finished curtains with metal fasteners and hang them on the cornice.
