Watermelon Ants Painting Instructions

Step #1: Making Spiral Circles

Begin this artwork by taking a white circular paper sheet as the base for the drawing and a green sketch pen. Using the sketch pen, make small spiral circles on the bottom of the base randomly.

Step #2: Completing Making Spiral Circles

Make the small spiral circles at the bottom of the base of different sizes to cover the bottom side wholely. See the image for reference.

Step #3: Painting Over The Spirals

Dip a paintbrush into water and using it, pint over the drawn spirals along them. This will spread out the sketch color.

Step #4: Making Circles Over The Spreaded Color

Using the sketch pen, make circles over the spread sketch color as shown in the image.

Step #5: Making Watermelon Textures

Using a dark green sketch pen, make wavy lines over the circles you made. These will be the watermelon and the wavy lines will be the watermelon texture.

Step #6: Making Half Watermelons And Red Spirals

As you make the round watermelons, make some half watermelon over the whole watermelon, and then using the red sketch pen, make the top of the watermelons by making a boundary over the cut part.

Now, using the red sketch pen, make the tiny spirals collectively over the top of the base to form a leaf bunch, and make more leaf bunches following the same. See the image for reference.

Step #7: Painting Over The Clouds

Again, dip your paintbrush into water and paint over the red spiral clouds to give them their shape by spreading out the color.

Step #8: Making The Tree Trunks

Using a black pen, make the tree trunks beneath the leaf bunches. Make 2 vertical lines beneath them by leaving a little gap between them to make the trunk. Then, make horizontal parallel lines over the whole tree trunk by leaving similar gaps. See the image for reference.

Make the same tree trunk as the right-side tree. And, just make a single irregular vertical line to the left-side tree.

Step #9: Making Ants And Watermelon Seeds

Using the black pen, make the ants over the watermelons and climb up the tree trunks as shown in the image. Now, using the pen, make the dotted watermelon seed over the tree watermelon leaves.

Step #10: Making More Ants

Make more ants climb up the tree trunk. See the image for reference.

For the last step, make watermelon bits over the ants’ backs by making a dot using the red sketch pen, and then using the water-dipped paint brush, paint the tiny dot.
