How to make wind chime using pom-pom. I created these wind chimes using material found on nature walks and the recycling bin. In the beginning, it was a mobile made from ice cream spoons. They made a soft sound like small bamboo sticks, so I added a bell and ended up creating a nice little wind chime. Figuring out how to hang the spoons without making a hole led me to the rubber bands and i used it in a decorative way.
Pom-poms aren’t just for hats! They make incredibly cute, soft, and colorful wind chimes. The best part? They’re silent, so they’re perfect for a nursery or a porch where you want decoration without the constant tingling.
The Silent Symphony Steps:
Base: Use a small embroidery hoop, a cookie cutter, or even a sturdy twig.
Pom-Poms: Make pom-poms in various sizes and colors using a fork, your fingers, or a pom-pom maker. Use different wool textures for more interest.
Assembly: Cut several strings of varying lengths. Tie a pom-pom to one end of each string. Tie the other ends to your base, distributing them evenly.
Hang: Add a final string to the top for hanging.
This is a fantastic way to use up leftover yarn scraps. It’s a fluffy, whimsical piece of art that dances gently in the breeze.
